 President
Jaye Marshall - Owner, I am the founder of Performance Yamaha. I was born in Spokane WA. and grew up hunting, fishing, drag racing, and riding motorcycles, both street and dirt. I love anything with an engine!!! I moved to Alaska in 1990, while working for United Parcel Service as a manager. After 27 years with UPS, and decided to do something really fun, and opened Performance Yamaha in April of 2003. I chose a Yamaha dealership because I believe Yamaha provides unmatched quality and customer satisfaction. I live in Alaska because I love all of the “once in a lifetime” outdoor activities I do daily. My two daughters, Kelsey and Audra, still love coming home to go riding snowmobiles, wheelers and motorcycles with dad. Alaska has been the best place I have lived for outdoor recreation with friends and family. Owning Performance Yamaha has given me the opportunity to enable others to do the same. I have handpicked my entire staff with this goal in mind. We provide our customers with honest, up to date, and accurate information on the best outdoor parts, and accessories available to enable everyone to enjoy Alaska outdoors to its fullest, whether it is a family outing on the snow machine trail, or mechanical and technical advice for the performance oriented racers. We have the best stocked parts department in the state. All of our mechanics hold the highest certification attainable through Yamaha technical schools. Our goal is not how many units did we sell, but much more importantly, did we spend time with each of our customers, and give them the absolute best service, best information and best product available. Stop in, meet our staff, and see the difference. | |
Joshua Estes - General Manager, I'm 30 years old lived in Alaska all of my life and love to spend my time around motorsports. My first stop on my way home from Humana Hospital was my aunt and uncles motorcycle shop in Anchorage Alaska. After that it was straight to the garage, until Sunday morning where my family would pack it up and head to the race track. It didn’t matter where we were going if it were the car races, Sprint car races, the snow machine races, the motocross track, the jet ski races or the drag strip my family did it all. We even ventured out into a few other forms of non motor sports racing for awhile. So for me the Power sports industry was a natural fit. I have been riding since the age of three when I got my first three-wheeler for Christmas and ice raced it at four years old. So if I’m not in the store you can find me at the track. I love Yamaha's and I love the outdoors. I can't even begin to describe the feeling I get while riding around with friends or racing against my peers, so instead of trying to explain the feeling I have created an avenue for my clients to experience it firsthand. Performance Yamaha in my eyes is just that, not a place where we sell ATV’s or parts, it's a dealership that sells lifestyle. A lifestyle that I believe most Alaskan's live for. I have been in the industry now for twelve years. In the past decade I have worked hard both in an out of state attending seminars and schooling to ensure that all of my customers will be satisfied with the unparelled level of service my staff and I will provide. Been with P.Y.I. since two thousand and three. |

Some of the places my family and I lived required us to have snowmachines and ATV's just to get into our property. So I have spent most of my life riding, we hunted and fished for food and also spent a great deal of time riding just for fun. I transitioned into the motorsports industry from the outdoor rec. stores, retail fishing stores and ECT. I spent about ten years selling high end fishing equipment. My wife and I like to spend our summers camping and fishing a great hobby to have living in Alaska and enjoying motorsports. My family and I love Alaska and the people in it and we plan on being here for many years to come, so if your an enthusiast like I am hopefully we'll run into each other on the trails and hopefully I’ll see you at the dealership!
